Lannes has a Master in Visual Languages by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, 2012. He studied painting at the State University of New York and later at the Parque Lage Visual Arts School EAV. In 2008 he was awarded a resident’s grant at the Idyllwild Arts Painting’s Edge program in California.
Held the solo exhibition Dilúvio [Flood] in 2012 at Luciana Caravello Gallery.
In 2011, presented the solo exhibitions República [Republic] at the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro, and Só Lazer [Only Leisure], at the IBEU Gallery, in Rio de Janeiro. In 2007, he presented the solo exhibitions Midnight Paintings, at Centro Cultural São Paulo, and SALE, at Choque Cultural Gallery, São Paulo.

Lannes was nominated to the 10th edition of the Awards and Comitees program by the Cisneros-Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) 2013 and also selected for the Short List of “100 Painters of Tomorrow”, publisher Thames & Hudson, 2013. In 2012 he was contemplated with FUNARTE Contemporary Art Prize. Nominated to the PIPA Prize in 2011 and 2012. Winner of Novíssimos Art Salon Award (IBEU-RJ), Rio de Janeiro, 2010. Won an artist residency Scholarship at The Idyllwild Arts Program Painting’s Edge, California, USA, 2008 and Scholarship of one year at the State University of New York / Fine Arts Department in 2004.
His works are featured in public collections such as MAR (Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro); Institute Figuereido Ferraz, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil; MAM RJ (Museum of Modern Art / Rio de Janeiro).
